The London son has just spent a few gloriously sunny days in the Grasmere area, staying at the Riversdale B&B. The (3) bedrooms have river views and he says the breakfasts were superb. It won the best Cumbrian guest house award a couple of years ago.
He and his girlfriend walked for miles and reached a few summits
he also managed to locate our coppice which was a closely guarded secret (so closely guarded that we hadn't known it existed).
